The board of the Jaap Bakema Foundation has awarded its 2010/2011 fellowship to Elena Cabrera Vacas for her research into ‘BeNI-YORK versus Marbella BEACH – Devouring Urbanism on the Spanish Coast’.

The research proposal was selected out of 47 proposals and will be focusing on the development of the tourist paradises of Benidorm and Marbella

Thanks to the support of the Jaap Bakema Foundation, the research will be concluded with a presentation at the Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAI) in Rotterdam and a publication in the A10 ne European architecture periodical in 2011.
